Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
The natural ambiance of Merridale Estate Cidery creates a unique venue to say “I do”. The quiet rural setting of the orchard and fields, alongside the water’s edge of our pond is perfect for those couples looking for a unique Vancouver Island wedding venue.
Included:
- Three tents and white chairs
- Reception set up and tear down
- Option to take pictures in the orchard
- A place for bride to get ready
- Bridal Party change room in our private yurt (see below)
- Serving staff and bar staff
Optional:
- Appetizers and drinks at the pond
- Man hut for the men to change (see below)
Cider House Wedding Reception
The cider house makes a beautiful venue for a wedding reception. As well as a cider bar and tasting room, the building features a fieldstone fireplace with cathedral ceilings of local timber, and wall-to-wall windows overlooking the apple orchard, meadows, and ponds. The back deck offers two covered areas, complete with heaters should the evening be a bit chilly. The deck can seat up to 130 people, and offers a raised platform for either your head table or musicians. The inside bistro is a great place for dancing after your meal is done.

Receptions may commence any time after 6:15pm in the ciderhouse and must finish by 11:00pm

A Place to Get Ready or a Romantic Wedding Night Retreat for the Bridal Couple
Exhausted from a long day filled with joy and laughter, the bridal couple need only take a few steps to their honeymoon retreat.
Our luxurious Yurt, tucked into the trees at the edge of the orchard and overlooking the pond, houses a beautiful bridal suite. Soak in a deep clawfoot tub as you recount the events of your special day and drift to sleep to the soothing sounds of the countryside.
A Place to Get Ready
Included:
The yurt is available for you and your bridal party to get ready for your big event an hour prior to your ceremony. Get ready in the relaxing atmosphere of our wood panelled yurts and sooth away those pre-wedding jitters. Then when you and your wedding party are ready you will walk out to the veranda overlooking the pond and all your guests. Walking down the grass pathways, past the waterfall and up to the pondside gazebo you guests will watch in awe.
Optional:
- We can’t forget about the groomsmen: the Man Hut is available for the groom and his party to get ready in prior to the ceremony.
