With the mildest weather in Canada, the Cowichan Valley is home to a large Agritourism industry.

The Wine Islands Vintners Association has, by region,
an extensive list
of wineries, cideries, and meaderies located throughout the island. The Cowichan Valley is featured as one of these regions.

In addition to the plethora of Wineries, Vancouver Island and the Cowichan valley are also home to a number of Micro Breweries. The Acclaimed Philips Brewing Company calls the Island home, as does the Craig Street Brew Pub which serves its own island-made beer.
