Cowichan Valley Wine Festival
The 7th Annual Cowichan Wine and Culinary Festival will take place September 14th to September 18th, 2011. Make Merridale one of your stops during this weekend of food, fun, and drink! Our Cidery is child friendly and we will have a wagon ride available for the children. Our Bistro and Farmhouse Store and Deli are open daily for your enjoyment. Reservations are recommended for the Bistro and children are welcome, we have a menu just for them.

Artists in the Orchard
From 12pm-3pm, Saturday & Sunday we will have a collective gathering of local artists in the apple orchard, and a true feast for the eyes as you watch artwork in progress. Meet the creators of the unique pieces you have admired at the merridale farmhouse store, and discover what inspires them.
Our current line-up of artists includes (and still growing): Chantey Dayal–painter, Susan Witham–potter, Dave Airs–painter, Carol Anne Shaw–painter and author, Devon Gillett–painter, Andrew Kent–Wicker artist, Elizabeth Wellborn–glass artist and Pipi Tustian–textile artist.

Book Signing
We have a special book signing by Troy Townsin on Saturday September 17th from 12pm-3pm. Troy is the author of Cooking With BC Wine, A guide to the wineries of British Columbia. This book features an "incredible collection of tantalising recipes" from wineries all over BC.
Eric Harper Live at Pizza Night
Join us for a pizza dinner on Sunday, Sept. 18th. To wrap up this festive weekend, we have a live performance by Eric Harper on the deck of the Ciderhouse. Enjoy this talented musician as you indulge in gourmet pizza and pitchers of Sangria. This may be the last pizza night of the season, so don't miss out!
Cider Tastings
We have cider tastings by donation at the ciderbar, perfect after a self-guided tour of the cellar and orchard.
