Just as we are serious about our cider (which you’ll discover on our tours) we also believe in cooking with our whole heart and soul, with ingredients supplied by farmers growing with that same passion, that same fire. Make sure to complete your culinary adventure by ordering a cider flight. Our flights offer a sampling of 6 different ciders complete with flight map to explain the range and versatility of this historically rich drink. Your server will give you suggested pairings to go with your meal. Although we suggest reservations, we welcome walk-in customers.

Lunch and Tour Packages

Tour packages must be pre-booked and are generally reserved for groups of 6 or more. Groups of less than 6 are welcome to join us for complimentary self-guided tours, and then lunch at la Pommeraie Bistro complete with cider flights.

In-Cider Lunch — A Three Course Lunch, with a Guided Tour and Tableside Tasting. Our private guide will take you on a tour of our unique production facility, taking you from harvest to bottling. Then make your way into la Pommeraie for a tableside tasting and learn about the delicious art of pairing food and cider.
For groups of 30 or more our In-Cider lunch must be pre-selected. Click here for menu selection.

$28.95 per person.

Brick Oven Special — Soup and Sandwiches, For a Lighter Meal. Let one of our private guides take you on a tour of our unique production facility, taking you from harvest to bottling. Then make your way to our covered veranda overlooking the orchard and trout pond for a tableside tasting and learn about the delicious art of pairing food and cider. You will then start your meal with one of our daily soups, and finish with our daily sandwiches made with our own brick oven bread. $18 per person (plus taxes and gratuity).

Cider and Brandy Tours

Private Guided Tour and Private Tasting — Take a personal guided tour and have all your questions answered along the way. For people arriving at Merridale as a group, this option ensures your reserved space at the ciderhouse for tasting. After your tour, you will be taken to the covered veranda overlooking the orchard and trout pond. Your taster will provide a private tasting with at least 6 of Merridale’s ciders. $5 per person, minimum charge $25.

Self-Guided Tour and Private Tasting — For a balance of privacy and education this is the perfect tour. Our staff will greet your group and provide them with tour maps. The tour signage will provide an excellent introduction, then relax on the covered veranda overlooking the trout pond. Your host will provide a private tasting and answer any questions you may have gathered along the way. $4 per person, minimum charge $24.

Enchanting Orchard Walk — An orchard walk that enchants and educates all at the same time. Learn about the cider apples planted in Canada’s largest cider apple orchard and understand the noble beginning of cider. Marvel at the local plant and flora, indigenous rock, and wildlife. See if you can spot the apple blossom faeries that are rumoured to live here. Kids will have fun on the faerie treasure hunt as they look for our little helpers that are so busy in our orchard and cellar. Complimentary.

Self-Guided Tour — For those that just want to drop in, we offer self-guided tours. Grab a map in the store and then follow the numbered signs. Afterwards, join us for a tasting and we will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please note, this tour option is only available for small groups. Larger groups cannot be accommodated for complimentary tastings and should book in advance. Complimentary.

Private Guided Brandihouse Tour and Tasting —
The Brandihouse is available for private tours and functions. Private functions can be customized to meet your requests and can include tastings and appetizers. Call us with your dreams. Try a full distilling lesson, hosted by our distiller, Rick Pipes, and enjoy a chance to sample from the still while it is working.
$25 per person, minimum charge $500.
Or book a private tour of the distillery followed by a tasting of your choice of three products made from our still.
$15 per person, minimum 10 people.
