Much Ado About Nothing & 1st BBQ of the season

Throughout the summer we will engage your senses with good food, entertainment, and a casual fun atmosphere. To kick off our first summer of BBQ’s on the back deck, we’ve invited the Bard at Brentwood to perform excerpts from Shakespeare’s play Much Ado About Nothing.

The story of two very different sets of lovers, Beatrice and Benedick, and Claudio and Hero. The witty banter between Beatrice and Benedick is the highlight of the play. The main plot of Much Ado About Nothing revolves around obstacles to the union of two young lovers (Claudio and Hero), and the plays sub-plot the “merry war” of the sexes between Beatrice and Benedick. Benedick thinks he hates Beatrice but really loves her and Beatrice who thinks she hates Benedick but really loves him!

Dinner will commence at 5:00 and the show begins at 7:00. Stay tuned for further details and the dinner menu.
