September 20, 2008Hayrides around the orchard from 1 to 3 pm for the children and any adults who continue to love this tradition. A special Brandihouse Tour and Seminar, lead by our distiller Rick Pipes, will commence at noon ( $10 per person plus GST and Gratuity, prebooking required). At the end of the tour you will be given the opportunity to taste our Pomme Oh, Mure Oh, and Eaux de Vie brandy — to be released this fall.
Renowned local theatre company Bard at Brentwood will be performing excerpts from Shakespeare’s play The Merchant of Venice.
Comedy, Intrigue, and Drama; the Bard’s play is as hilarious and relevant today as it was during it’s original run in the late fourteenth century. The night’s performance will take place under the stars beside the warmth of a crackling fire. If there is a chill in the air, our servers will provide you with blankets, and a glass of wine or cider to keep your warm. While our deck is equipped with overhead heaters, it is always wise to dress warmly at this time of year.
To compliment an evening of laughter and lively theatre a medieval menu befitting the era will be offered starting at 5:00 pm with the play beginning at 7:00 pm. The cost is $69 per person and reservations are required.
Throughout the Festival, Merridale’s complimentary tours and tastings will continue. Self guided tours welcome anytime between 10:30 am and 5 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Reservations: (250) 743-9310 or 1-800-998-9908.
