Take a European holiday in the Cowichan Valley this afternoon. Imagine yourself in the middle of an apple orchard in northern France or the shores of England enjoying local cuisine, fine wine, and award-winning cider. Now cancel that plane ticket and join us at la Pommeraie, a bistro at Merridale.
We believe in serving food in its purest form by cooking with local, seasonally available ingredients supplied by the nearby farmers. Menu items are designed to come together at the last moment for freshness — a planned spontaneity. The smell of country apple pie, croissants made with butter, and fresh bread from our brick oven will certainly lead you to the door.
